The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that does good, no, not one.

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in any of his thoughts. His ways are always prosperous; your judgments are far above, out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he sneers at them. He has said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.read more.
His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. He sits in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places does he murder the innocent: his eyes are secretly set against the poor. He lies in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lies in wait to catch the poor: he does catch the poor, when he draws him into his net. He crouches, and lies low, that the poor may fall by his strength. He has said in his heart, God has forgotten: he hides his face; he will never see it.

For he flatters himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity is found to be hateful. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he has ceased to be wise, and to do good.read more.
He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.
A hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food needful for me: Lest I be full, and deny you, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, says the LORD. Therefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall in it: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their punishment, says the LORD.
Can the papyrus grow up without a marsh? can the reeds grow without water? While it is yet green, and not cut down, it withers before any other plant. So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:read more.
Whose confidence shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web. He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure. He grows green in the sun, and his branch shoots forth in his garden. His roots are wrapped about the stone heap, and looks for a place in the stones. If he is destroyed from his place, then it will deny him, saying, I have not seen you. Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
When he gives quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hides his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: That the hypocrite reigns not, lest the people be ensnared.
The wicked shall be turned into sheol, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the nations be judged in your sight.read more.
Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will defend my own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for a hypocrite shall not come before him.
For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.
Know you not this of old, since man was placed upon the earth, That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he has gained, when God takes away his soul? Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him? Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
And if they are bound in fetters, and are held in cords of affliction; Then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have exceeded. He opens also their ear to discipline, and commands that they return from iniquity.read more.
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge. But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he binds them.
But unto the wicked God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes, or that you should take my covenant in your mouth? Seeing you hate instruction, and cast my words behind you. When you saw a thief, then you consented with him, and have been partaker with adulterers.read more.
You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son. These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself: but I will rebuke you, and set them in order before your eyes. I will send him against a godless nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
Hear, you that are afar off, what I have done; and, you that are near, acknowledge my might. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
But refuse profane and old wives' tales, and exercise yourself rather unto godliness.
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to your trust, avoiding profane and vain utterances, and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
