But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles?

For a good tree does not produce unsound fruit; nor does an unsound tree produce good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes gathered from brambles. The good man, out of the good treasury of his heart, brings forth that which is good; and the evil man, out of the evil treasury of his heart, brings forth that which is evil.
