If a man vows a vow unto the LORD, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
In whose eyes a vile person is despised; but he honors them that fear the LORD. He that swears to his own hurt, and changes not. He that puts not out his money at interest, nor takes reward against the innocent. He that does these things shall never be moved.

But if he shall in any way make them void after that he has heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity. These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.
And they gave their promise that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass.
And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and you, and also our little ones.
