And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned nor his parents, but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame one shall leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall praise; for waters shall be dug in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God. I am the LORD.
And so they come to Jericho, and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. Then Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Have confidence, rise; he calls thee. He, therefore, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus. And Jesus, answering, said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And the blind man said unto him, Master, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go; thy faith has saved thee. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way.
