And he that smites his father or his mother shall be surely put to death. Likewise he that steals a man and sells him, or if he is found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. In the same manner he that curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.read more.
And if men strive together and one smites another with a stone or with his fist and he dies not, but keeps his bed, if he rises again and walks abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be absolved, only he shall pay for the loss of his time and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed. If a man shall steal an ox or a sheep and kill it or sell it he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep. If a thief is found breaking into a house and is smitten so he dies, he that killed him shall not be guilty of his blood. If the sun is risen upon him, he that killed him is guilty of his blood; the thief should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.read more.

But if the man found a betrothed damsel in the field and the man forced her and lay with her; then only the man that lay with her shall die; but unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death; for as when a man rises against his neighbour and murders him, even so is this matter. For he found her in the field and the betrothed damsel cried out, and there was no one to save her. When a man finds a damsel that is a virgin who is not betrothed and lays hold on her and lies with her, and they are found, then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver and she shall be his wife; because he has humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. Let not my lord, I pray thee, take to heart this man of Belial, even Nabal, for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him; but I, thy handmaid, did not see the servants of my lord whom thou didst send. Now, therefore, my lord, as the LORD lives and as thy soul lives, seeing the LORD has withheld thee from coming to shed blood and from avenging thyself with thy own hand, now let thy enemies and those that seek evil to my lord be as Nabal. And now this blessing which thy handmaid has brought unto my lord, let it be given unto the servants that follow my lord. I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thy handmaid, for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house because my lord fights the battles of the LORD, and evil has not been found in thee all thy days.

My spirit came to be strange to my wife, although I intreated her for the sons of my own body.

and forgive thy people that have sinned against thee and all their rebellions by which they have rebelled against thee and cause those who carried them captive to have mercy on them, for they are thy people and thy inheritance, which thou didst bring forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace.

And why dost thou not take away my rebellion and pass over my iniquity? For now I shall sleep in the dust; and if thou shalt seek me in the morning, I shall not be found.

If I sinned, wilt thou mark me and not cleanse me from my iniquity?

How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.

For now thou dost number my steps; thou dost not open up my sin. My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou dost sew up my iniquity.

For it is of God to say, I have forgiven, I will no longer destroy. Teach me that which I do not see; if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more. Will he, perchance finish his work by thee; whether thou refuse or whether thou choose, or by me? Speak what thou knowest.

For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul; the strong are gathered against me; I am not in rebellion, nor in sin, O LORD.

and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way eternal.

Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices, but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins; thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, behold, even he shall die for his iniquity. Yet if ye say, Why does not the son bear the iniquity of the father? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned; by his rebellion in which he has trespassed and by his sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die. And if ye say, The way of the Lord is not straight. Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not straight? Are not your ways crooked? When a righteous man leaves his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall die in it; for his iniquity that he has done he shall die. Again, when the wicked man leaves his wickedness that he has committed and lives according to judgment and righteousness, he shall cause his soul to live. Because he saw and left all his rebellions that he has committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. If even now the house of Israel should say, The way of the Lord is not straight. O house of Israel, are not my ways straight? Certainly your ways are not straight. Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each one according to his ways, said the Lord GOD. Repent and turn yourselves from all your iniquities, so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your iniquities by which ye have rebelled, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I do not desire the death of him that dies, said the Lord GOD; therefore turn yourselves, and ye shall live.

Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel: Ye speak thus, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are consumed because of them. How should we then live?

neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their abominations, nor with all their rebellions, but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, in which they have sinned and will cleanse them, so they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

According to their uncleanness and according to their rebellions have I done unto them and hid my face from them.

For I have known of your many rebellions and your great sins that afflict the just and take a ransom and turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the testimony, and they shall bear their iniquity by a perpetual statute throughout your ages, and they shall not possess an inheritance among the sons of Israel.

To whom shall I speak, and give warning that they may hear? behold, their ears are uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken, behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, , unto the Jews a stumblingblock and unto the Gentiles foolishness; but unto those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? Then is the offence of the cross ceased.

Let us, therefore, not judge one another any more, but judge this rather: that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God. I am the LORD.

But he turned and said unto Peter, Remove thyself from before me, Satan; thou art an offence unto me, for thou dost not understand that which is of God, but that which is of men.

And David says, Let their table be turned into a snare and a net and a stumblingblock and a recompense unto them; Let their eyes be darkened that they may not see, and bow down their back always.

Let their table become a snare before them, and that which should have been for their prosperity, let it become a stumbling block. Let their eyes be darkened that they see not and make their loins continually to shake.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours becomes a stumblingblock to those that are weak.

Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry not be blamed,

For any man of the house of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel who has separated himself from walking after me and has set up his idols in his heart and has established the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face and comes to the prophet to enquire of him concerning me, I, the LORD, will answer him by myself:

Son of man, these men have caused their uncleanness to come up over their heart and have established the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them? Therefore speak unto them and say unto them, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Every man of the house of Israel that sets up his idols in his heart and has established the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face and comes to the prophet, I, the LORD, will answer him that comes like this in the multitude of his idols

Again, When the righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die because thou hast not given him warning; he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at thy hand.
