But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, "Send her away, for she is crying out after us."

Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

For a while he refused; but afterward he said to himself, 'Though I neither fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her justice, or she will wear me out by her continual coming.'"

And those who led the way rebuked him, telling him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"

and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
