Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and platter, but within they are full of plunder and excess. Blind Pharisee! cleanse first that which is in the cup and platter, that its outside may be clean also.

AND the Pharisees and some of the scribes having come from Jerusalem came together to him, and seeing some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, unwashed hands, [they found fault].
