I also, brethren, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual men, but as those who are not spiritual, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it. Nor indeed are ye able even now; for ye are yet unspiritual. For while there is among you rivalry and strife, are ye not unspiritual, and walking after the manner of men?

Of whom we have much to say, and hard to be explained, seeing ye have become dull of hearing. For while on account of the length of time ye ought to be teachers, ye again have need that some one should teach you the first elements of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food. For every one that feedeth on milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness; for he is a babe;

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I had the feelings of a child, I thought as a child; since I have become a man, I have put away the things of the child. For now we see in a mirror, obscurely; but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall fully know even as I also am fully known.

Brethren, do not become children in understanding; yet in malice be children, but in understanding be men.
