Now she, that is really a widow and desolate, hopeth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one, that asketh, receiveth; and he, that seeketh, findeth; and to him, that knocketh, it shall be opened.
And so I tell you, Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
And He spake also a parable to them, to shew that men ought always to pray, and not to faint:
saying, There was a judge in a certain city, who neither feared God, nor regarded man. And there was a widow in that city, who came to him, saying, Do me justice of my adversary. And he would not for a time: but afterwards he said within himself, Though I fear not God,read more.
nor regard man, yet because this widow gives me trouble, I will do her justice, least by continually coming she weary me out. And the Lord said, hear what even the unjust judge saith: and will not God do justice for his elect that cry to Him day and night, though He bear long with them. I tell you, He will avenge them speedily. And yet when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith in the land?
praying at all seasons with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance, and intercession for all the saints;
for God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how incessantly I make mention of you always in my prayers, intreating if I may now at length have a prosperous journey by the will of God, to come unto you.
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you; who always strives earnestly for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God:
We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers. Incessantly remembering your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father:
I give thanks to God, whom I serve as my forefathers did, with a pure conscience, having remembrance of thee continually in my prayers night and day;
