When Herod was about to bring him out, on that night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains; and the keepers before the doors were guarding the prison.

Then the officer came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains, and demanded who he was, and what he had done.

And Paul replied: I could pray to God, that not only you, but also all that hear me to day, were both almost and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
