He went to Pilate and asked him for Jesus' body. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.
Joseph of Arimathea, a highly respected member of the council, who was himself living in expectation of the reign of God, made bold to go to Pilate and ask for Jesus' body.

and saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus' body had been, one at his head and one at his feet.
