Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

And He continued by questioning them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter *answered and *said to Him, “You are the Christ.”

And He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.”

And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. Demons also were coming out of many, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But rebuking them, He would not allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.

He *found first his own brother Simon and *said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which translated means Christ). He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).

She *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.”
