1 John 1:1-5

Revelation 1:1-3

The unveiling apocalypse of Jesus Christ which God gave him to show to his slaves the things which must soon come to pass; and he sent and made it known by his angel to his slave John. He bore witness of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, even of all the things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads, and they who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep what is written in it. For the crisis is at hand.
