9 Bible Verses about Law, Ten Commandments

Neither be ye idolaters, as some of them were; as has been written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and arose up to play.

Not every one saying to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in the heavens.

For God commanded saying, Honor thy father and mother: and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die with death.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long upon the earth.

You have heard that it was said to the ancients, Thou shalt not murder; and whosoever may murder shall be in danger of the judgment;

You have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Marriage is honorable among all, and the couch undefiled: for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

Then what shall we say? is the law sin? It could not be so; but I did not know sin except through the law: for indeed I had not known lusts, unless the law said, Thou shalt not covet.

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, having been sold under sin.
