Then brother shall surrender brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end, that man shall be saved.

Remember those who are in chains, as in chains with them; and those who are suffering afflictions, as being yourselves also in the body.

And be not afraid of those who kill the body, and cannot kill the soul: but fear him rather who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Then said Jesus to his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever is desirous to preserve his life, shall lose it; but whosoever would lose his life for my sake, shall find it.

But Paul replied, Why do ye thus??eeping and breaking my heart? for I am ready not only to be bound, but to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
