And a brother shall deliver a brother to death, and a father a son; and children shall rise up against their parents and put them to death;
Then they shall deliver you to affliction, and kill you, and you shall be hated by all nations on my account;
They shall put you out of the synagogues; but the hour is coming when every one that kills you will think he renders God a service.
And fear not those who kill the body and are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Fear not what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried, and you shall have affliction ten days. Be faithful till death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any one will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake, shall find it.
But Paul answered, What do you do, to weep and break my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus.

and the light of a candle shall shine in you no more, and the voice of a bridegroom and of a bride shall be heard in you no more, for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, for all nations were deceived by your magic arts, and in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all that have been killed on the earth.
And the king immediately sending an executioner, commanded him to bring his head. And he went out and beheaded him in the prison,
