Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples dared to ask Him, "Who are you?" because they knew it was the Lord.

Then He proceeded to say to the man who invited Him: "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, stop the social custom of inviting your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your rich neighbors, for they may invite you in return and so you will be repaid. But when you give a reception, make it your habit to invite people that are poor, maimed, crippled, or blind. Then you will be happy, because they cannot repay you; you will be repaid at the resurrection of the upright."

The next day, while those men were traveling on and not far from the town, Peter went up on the housetop about noon to pray. But he got very hungry and wanted something to eat. While they were getting it ready, he fell into a trance

"What man among you, if he has a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, 'Come at once and take your seat at the table,' but will not rather say to him, 'Get my supper ready, and dress yourself and wait on me until I eat and drink, and you yourself can eat and drink afterward'?

While He was at table in the house many tax-collectors and notorious sinners came in and took their seats at table with Jesus and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax-collectors and notorious sinners?" And when He heard it, He said, "It is not well, but sick people that have to send for a doctor.read more.
Go, learn what this means, 'It is mercy and not sacrifice that I want.' It is not upright but sinful people that I have come to invite."

Levi was at table in his house, and he had many tax-collectors and notorious sinners as guests, along with Jesus and His disciples, for there were many of them, and they began to follow Him. And when the scribes who belonged to the Pharisees' party saw that He was eating with notorious sinners and tax-collectors, they said to His disciples, "Why does He eat with tax-collectors and notorious sinners?" While He was in Bethany, He was a guest in the home of Simon the leper, and as He was sitting at table, a woman came in with an alabaster bottle of pure nard perfume, very costly; she broke the bottle and poured the perfume on His head.

Now one of the Pharisees invited Him to take dinner with him. So He came to the Pharisee's house and took His place at the table.

Now six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus lived, whom He had raised from the dead. So they gave a dinner there in honor of Jesus, and Martha was waiting on them, but Lazarus was one of the guests with Jesus.

Now just as day was breaking, Jesus took His stand on the shore, though the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. So Jesus said to them, "Lads, you have no fish, have you?" They answered, "No." Then He said to them, "Set your net on the right side of the boat, and you will catch them." They did so, and they could not drag it in for the big catch of fish.read more.
So that disciple whom Jesus used to love tenderly said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he belted on his fisherman's coat, for he had taken it off, and plunged into the sea. The rest of the disciples followed in the little boat, for they were not far from shore -- only about a hundred yards -- dragging in the net full of fish. When they landed, they saw a charcoal fire all made and a fish lying on it; also some bread. Jesus said to them, "Fetch some of the fish you have just caught." So Simon Peter got into the boat, and pulled the net ashore, full of big fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples dared to ask Him, "Who are you?" because they knew it was the Lord.

And he sent his slaves to summon those who had been invited to the wedding reception, but they refused to come.

You did not give me a kiss, but she, from the moment I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet with affection.

And turning face to face with the woman He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came to your house; you did not give me any water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with tears and wiped them with her hair.

and took her stand behind Him at His feet, continually weeping. Then she began to wet His feet with her tears, but she continued to wipe them off with the hair of her head, and she kept right on kissing His feet with affection and anointing them with the perfume.

But when the king came in to take a look at the guests, he saw there a man who did not have on a wedding suit.
