Now one of the Pharisees invited Him to take dinner with him. So He came to the Pharisee's house and took His place at the table.

She said, "Yes, Lord, and yet the house dogs usually eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table."
But she answered Him, "Yes, Lord, and yet the house dogs under the table usually eat the crumbs the children drop."
and he was always craving to get a square meal from the scraps that fell from the rich man's table. Yes, the very dogs used to come and lick his sores.
and as my Father has conferred on me a kingdom, so I confer on you the privilege of eating and drinking at my table in my kingdom and of sitting on thrones and judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
"The kingdom of heaven is like a king, who gave a wedding reception for his son. And he sent his slaves to summon those who had been invited to the wedding reception, but they refused to come.
But one of the fellow-guests heard this, and said to Him, "Happy will be the man who is fortunate enough to be at the feast in the kingdom of God."
When He noticed how the guests were picking out the best places, He told them the following story:

Because there is only one loaf, so we, though many, are only one body, for we all partake of one loaf. Look at the Israelites in their practices. Then what do I mean? That the sacrifice to an idol is a reality, or that an idol itself is a reality? Of course not! I mean that what the heathen sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be in fellowship with demons.
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot eat at the table of the Lord and at the table of demons.
When evening came, He was sitting at the table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, He said, "I solemnly say to you, one of you is going to betray me."
And while they were sitting at table and eating, Jesus said, "I solemnly say to you, one of you, one who is now eating with me, is going to betray me."

Then they reached Jerusalem, and He went into the temple and began to drive out of it those who were buying and selling things in it. Then He upset the money-changers' tables and the dove-dealers' counters,
For the first or outer part of the tent, which is called the holy place, was equipped with the lamp and table and the presentation bread.
