Thou shalt not revile a deaf person, and thou shalt not put a stumbling-block before a blind one; but thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

But so much the more he charged them, so much the more abundantly they proclaimed it; and they were astonished above measure, saying, He does all things well; he makes both the deaf to hear, and the speechless to speak.

And they who were around him, seeing what was going to follow, said to him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? And a certain one from among them smote the bondman of the high priest and took off his right ear. And Jesus answering said, Suffer thus far; and having touched his ear, he healed him.
