Do not accept gold or silver or copper money to put in your pockets, and do not take a bag for your journey, nor two shirts, nor shoes, nor a staff, for the workman deserves his food!

He said to them, "Do not take anything for your journey, no staff nor bag nor bread nor money, nor an extra shirt.

Carry no purse nor wallet nor shoes, and do not stop to exchange civilities with anyone on the way.
