14 Bible Verses about Not Giving Up

Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day. For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]!

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not [carefully consider the cost and then for My sake] give up all his own possessions.

Other seed fell among thorns, and thorns came up and choked them out.

Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run [their very best to win], but only one receives the prize? Run [your race] in such a way that you may seize the prize and make it yours!

Now every athlete who [goes into training and] competes in the games is disciplined and exercises self-control in all things. They do it to win a crown that withers, but we [do it to receive] an imperishable [crown that cannot wither].

And I do all this for the sake of the gospel, so that I may share in its blessings along with you.

I have fought the good and worthy and noble fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith [firmly guarding the gospel against error].

So Gideon came to the Jordan and crossed over [the river], he and the three hundred men who were with him—exhausted, yet [still] pursuing [the enemy].

Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong.

But as for you, be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work.”

Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).
