Now consider how great this man was, to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the chief spoils.

Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers); and on the sabbath ye circumcise a man.

And He gave him a covenant of circumcision; and so he begat Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac, Jacob; and Jacob, the twelve patriarchs. And the patriarchs, moved with jealousy, sold Joseph into Egypt. And God was with him,

whose are the fathers; and of whom, according to flesh, is the Christ, Who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

As touching the Gospel, they are enemies for your sake; but as touching the election, they are beloved for the Father's sake;

For I say that Christ hath become a minister of the circumcision, in behalf of God's truth, that He might confirm the promises made to the fathers;
