Paul, an apostle not from men nor by men but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead,

Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called [to be] an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,

Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

for which I was appointed a herald and an apostle--I am speaking the truth, [I am] not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

In {this activity} I was traveling to Damascus with the authority and full power of the chief priests. In the middle of the day along the road, O king, I saw a light from heaven, more than the brightness of the sun, shining around me and those who were traveling with me. then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, the majority of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep. Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? If to others I am not an apostle, yet indeed I am to you, for you are my seal of apostleship in the Lord.
