His fellow guests began to say to themselves, "Who is this, to forgive even sins?" But he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

So Jesus went away with him. Now a large crowd followed him; they pressed round him. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be free from your complaint."

As he said this, an official came in and knelt before him, saying, "My daughter is just dead; do come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
