And Matiithiah, one of the Levites, the eldest son of Shallum the Korahite, had the oversight of the things that were baken in the frying pan. And other of their brethren, the sons of Kohath, had the oversight of the shewbread, to prepare against all Sabbaths.

And over the bearers of burdens and over all that wrought, in whatsoever workmanship it were, went there scribes, officers and porters of the Levites.

These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore and the sons of Merari.
