But afterward he said within himself: Though I fear not God, nor regard man, yet, because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. I say to you, that he will avenge them speedily. Yet, when the Son of man comes, will he find the faith on the earth?

And he said to them: Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine, who is on a journey, has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not; the door is already closed, and my children and myself are in bed; I can not rise and give you.read more.
I say to you, Although he will not arise and give him, because he is his friend, yet, on account of his importunity, he will arise and give him as many as he needs. And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For every one that asks, receives; and he that seeks, finds; and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.

And he came and found them sleeping again, for their eyes were heavy.

The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. And again he went away, and prayed, saying the same thing. And he returned, and found them sleeping again, for their eyes were heavy; and they knew not what to answer him.
