On the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, and said to him: Where dost thou wish that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? He replied: Go into the city, to a certain man, and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near; I will keep the passover at your house, with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and prepared the passover.
And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said to him: Where dost thou wish that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover? And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them: Go into the city, and there will meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water; follow him, and wherever he enters, say to the master of the house: The Teacher says, "Where is the room in which I may eat the passover with my disciples?read more.
And he will show you a large upper room, furnished and made ready; there make ready for us. And his disciples went out, and came into the city, and found as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.
And he sent Peter and John, saying: Go, make ready the passover for us, that we may eat it. They said to him: Where dost thou wish that we make it ready? And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters;read more.

And when the evening had come, because it was the preparation, which is the eve of the sabbath,
Then the Jews, as it was the preparation, that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for that sabbath day was a great day, besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken down.
There, then, on account of the preparation-day of the Jews, they laid Jesus, for the tomb was near.
it was the preparation for the passover, and about the third hour; and he said to the Jews, Behold your king!
On the morrow, which was the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees came together to Pilate,
But God said to him: Senseless man, this night shall your soul be required of you; and who shall have the things which you have provided?
But will he not say to him, Make ready my supper, and gird yourself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunk; and afterward, you shall eat and drink?
Again, he sent other servants, saying, Tell those who have been invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage feast.
And he became very hungry, and desired to eat; but while they were making ready, he fell into a trance;
Then he said to his servants: The marriage feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
And he sent his servant at the hour of supper, to say to those who had been invited, Come, for all things are now ready.
