On tbe first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say to him, The Master saith, My time is at hand: I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples say to him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare, that thou mayst eat the passover? And he sendeth two of his disciples, and saith to them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him. And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the man of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples?read more.
And he will shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready for us. And his disciples went, and came into the city, and found as he had said to them. And they made ready the passover.

And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat it. And they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? And he said to them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, a man will meet you bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth.read more.

And the evening being now come, (because it was the preparation, that is,

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

Now because it was the preparation, lest the bodies should remain upon the cross on the sabbath (for that sabbath was a great day) the Jews besought Pilate, that their legs might be broken, and they might be taken away.

There therefore they laid Jesus, because of the preparation -day of the Jews; for the sepulchre was nigh.

(It was then the preparation of the passover, and about the third hour:) And saith to the Jews, Behold your king.

Now the next day that followed the day of the preparation the chief priests and Pharisees came together to Pilate,

But God said to him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: and whose shall the things be that thou hast provided?

And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them who were invited, behold I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage.

And he became very hungry, and would have eaten; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

Then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast is prepared, but they who were invited were not worthy.

And he sent his servants at supper time to say to them that were invited, Come, for all things are now ready.
