And let these also be first proved, then let them become deacons, being blameless. Their wives likewise must be grave, not slanderers, watchful, faithful in all things. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. For those who have filled the office of a deacon well, gain for themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

Let the elders who rule well, be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in word and teaching.

And he took a little child, and placed it in the midst of them; and when he had taken it in his arms, he said to them: Whoever will receive one of such children on my account, receives me; and whoever will receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.

And there arose a contention among them, which of them should be greatest. But Jesus perceived the thought of their heart, and he took a little child, and made it stand by him, and said to them: Whoever will receive this little child on my account, receives me; and whoever will receive me, receives him that sent me. For he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
