and he was returning and sitting in his chariot reading the prophet Isaiah.
And Philip running forward heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and he said, Do you really understand what you read?

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,
And he said to them, Have you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry? both he and those with him?
Have you not read this Scripture, The stone which the builders rejected, has become the head of a corner;
And Jesus answered and said to them, Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those with him?
and said to him, Do you hear what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yes. Have you never read, that out of the mouths of babes and nursing infants, you have perfected praise?
But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, how God spoke to him at the bush, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
but their minds were blinded. For to this day in reading the old covenant the same vail remains, not taken away because it is taken away in Christ;
but to this day when Moses is read a vail lies upon their minds;
