I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder, since I know that the putting aside of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.read more.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you through prophetic utterance when the council of elders laid their hands on you.
But I have written very boldly to you on some points, so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from God,
For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every church.
Now I would remind you, brethren, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable and gentle, and to show true humility toward all men.
