Give us this day our daily bread.

What man is there of you, who if his son ask bread, will give him a stone? And if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion?

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith to her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone to the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria to him, How dost thou, being a Jew, ask drink of me, who am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
