who had his dwelling among the tombs: neither was any one able to bind him with chains; because frequently he had been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains were slipped off by him, and the fetters torn to pieces. No one was able to tame him: and all the time, night and day, he was among the tombs in the mountains, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
