There are, indeed, many unruly persons--great talkers who deceive themselves, principally converts from Judaism,

'Their throats are like opened graves; they deceive with their tongues.' 'The venom of serpents lies behind their lips,'

And the tongue is like a spark. Among the members of our body it proves itself a very world of mischief; it contaminates the whole body; it sets the wheels of life on fire, and is itself set on fire by the flames of the Pit.

For I am afraid that perhaps, when I come, I may find that you are not what I want you to be, and, on the other hand, that you may find that I am what you do not want me to be.
