And there arose a reasoning among them, which of them was the greatest? And Jesus seeing the thought of their heart, took a little child, and sat him by him, And said to them, whosoever shall receive this child in my name, receiveth me; and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

At that time came the disciples to Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus calling to him a little child, set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say to you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.read more.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

But they held their peace; for they had been debating among themselves in the way, Who should be greatest? And sitting down, he called the twelve and saith to them, If any man desire to be first, let him be the last of all, and the servant of all. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I am about to drink of, or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say to him, We are able.read more.

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

For ye are still carnal: for while there is among you emulation, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man? For while one saith, I am of Paul,

But it shall not be so among you; but whosoever desireth to be great among you, shall be your servant. And whosoever desireth to be the chief, shall be the servant of all.read more.
For the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

But Jesus calling them to him said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles lord it over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. It shall not be so among you; but whosoever desireth to be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever desireth to be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be served,read more.

Some indeed preach Christ even through envy and strife; but some through good will. The one preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the others out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.read more.
