Then a dispute rose among them, which of them should be greatest. And Jesus knowing the thought of their heart, took a child and set him by Him, and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this little child for my sake, receiveth me: and he that receiveth me, receiveth Him that sent me. For he that is lest among you all, shall be great.

At that time came the disciples to Jesus, saying, Who is to be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus calling to Him a little child, set it in the midst of them, and said, Verily I declare unto you, unless ye be converted, and become like little children, ye shall never enter into the kingdom of heaven.read more.

But they held their peace; for they had been disputing with each other by the way who should be the greatest. So He sat down and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any one would be first, let him be last of all, and servant of all. But let him that is greatest among you be your minister: and whosoever will exalt himself shall be abased,

Because ye are still carnal: for while there is among you envy and strife and divisions, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk as men? For when one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal?

I mean, that each of you saith, as if of different parties, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, I of Cephas, and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ: and there is neither Jew nor Greek, those is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

But Jesus called them to Him, and said unto them, Ye know that those who rule among the Gentiles, lord it over them, and their grandees exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whoever would be great among you shall be your minister; and whoever of you would be first shall be servant of all.read more.

but Jesus called them to Him and said, Ye know that the princes of the gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority upon them: it shall not be so among you; but whosoever would be great among you, let him be your minister, and whoever would be chief among you, let him be your servant:read more.
