And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold a sower went out to sow. And while he was sowing, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and ate them up. And this is the parable: The seed is the word of God. And there are those who hear by the wayside; then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, lest they believing may be saved.
