7 Bible Verses about Sadness

Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go! Sell your property and give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come back and be a follower of mine." But when the young man heard that, he went away much cast down, for he had a great deal of property.

And Jesus looked at him and loved him, and he said to him, "There is one thing that you lack. Go, sell all you have, and give the money to the poor, and then you will have riches in heaven; and come back and be a follower of mine." But his face fell at Jesus' words, and he went away much cast down, for he had a great deal of property.

And as they were eating, he said, "I tell you, one of you will betray me!" They were deeply hurt and began to say to him one after another, "Can it be I, Master?"

And he said to them, "What is all this that you are discussing with each other on your way?" They stopped sadly,
