All this kept happening to them with a figurative meaning; but it was put on record by way of admonition to us upon whom the ends of the Ages have come.

Every Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for convincing, for correction of error, and for instruction in right doing;

For all that was written of old has been written for our instruction, so that we may always have hope through the power of endurance and the encouragement which the Scriptures afford.
