Alas for you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whitened sepulchers, which without appear beautiful, but within are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

And when the sabbath had passed, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early, on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they came to the sepulcher.

She turned, and said to him: Rabboni; which is, translated, Teacher. Jesus said to her: Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God.

Pilate said to them: You have a guard; go, make it as safe as you know how.

While they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and told the chief priests all things that were done. And when they came together with the elders, they held a consultation, and gave much money to the soldiers, saying: Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away, while we were asleep.read more.
