Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you are like whitened sepulchers, which are beautiful indeed externally, but within they are full of the hones of the dead people, and every impurity.

And the Sabbath passing away, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, prepared aromatics, in order that having come they may anoint Him. And exceedingly early in the morning, the first of the Sabbaths, they come to the sepulcher, the sun approaching the horizon.

Pilate said to them, You have a watch: go, make it safe as you know.

And they going, behold, certain ones of the watch having come into the city, proclaimed to the chief priests all things which had taken place. And being assembled along with the elders, and taking counsel, they gave much money to the soldiers, saying, You tell, that His disciples, having come by night, stole Him away while we slept.read more.
