And it came to pass, as we were on our way to the place of prayer, that a certain damsel, having a spirit of divination, met us; who, indeed, was bringing to her masters much gain by sooth-saying. The same, following after Paul and us, kept crying, saying, "These men are servants of the Most High God; who, indeed, declare to you a way of salvation." And this she was doing for many days. for, indeed, in one Spirit were we all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.

Servants, obey your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the soul, with good-will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men;read more.
knowing that whatsoever good thing each one does, this shall he receive from the Lord, whether bond or free.

Let each one abide in that calling in which he was called. Were you called, being a slave? care not for it; but, even if you can become free, use it rather. For he that was called in the Lord, being a slave, is the Lord's freedman: likewise, he that was called, being free, is Christ's slave.read more.
Ye were bought with a price; become not slaves of men. Brethren, let each one abide with God in the same condition in which he was called.
