5 Bible Verses about Soberness

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, strifes, divisions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of which I tell you before (as I have also told you in time past) that they who practise such things, shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Likewise that women adorn themselves in decent apparel, with modesty and sobriety, not with curled hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly raiment,

Yet she shall be saved in child-bearing, if they continue in faith, and love, and holiness, with sobriety.

Likewise the deacons must be serious, not double tongued, not given to much wine, not desirous of filthy gain: Holding fast the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

But the end of all things is at hand; be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things, have fervent love to each other; for love will cover a multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
