They spat in His face, and buffeted Him: and they slapped Him,

Saying these words, He spat on the ground, and made mortar out of the spittle, and besmeared the mortar on his eyes, and He said to him; Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is interpreted, Sent). Then he went away, and washed, and came seeing.

And spitting on Him, they took the reed and struck Him on the head repeatedly.

And taking him from the crowd privately, He put His fingers in his ears, and having spat, He touched his tongue;

And taking the blind man by the hand, He led him out of the village; and spitting in his eyes, putting His hands on him, He asked him, if he sees anything.
