So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two tablets of stone like the first, and went up the mountain with the two tablets in my hand.read more.

And they offered on it burnt offerings to the LORD and sacrificed peace offerings. And there, in the presence of the people of Israel, he wrote on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written.
And the LORD answered me:"Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.
And now, go, write it before them on a tablet and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come as a witness forever.
And he asked for a writing tablet and wrote, "His name is John." And they all wondered.
And on the surfaces of its stays and on its panels, he carved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths all around.
Then the LORD said to me, "Take a large tablet and write on it in common characters,'Belonging to Maher-shalal-hash-baz.'
"And you, son of man, take a brick and lay it before you, and engrave on it a city, even Jerusalem.
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
