So Samuel told him everything. He did not hold back anything from him. Eli said, "The Lord will do what he pleases."
and in order that in the hearing of your son and your grandson you may tell how I made fools of the Egyptians and about my signs that I displayed among them, so that you may know that I am the Lord."
You are to tell your son on that day, 'It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.'
He motioned to them with his hand to be quiet and then related how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. He said, "Tell James and the brothers these things," and then he left and went to another place.
When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all the things God had done with them.
