And He saith to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, unto death! Abide here, and watch." And going forward a little, He fell on the ground, and was praying, that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from Him. And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to Thee; take away this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what Thou wilt." And He cometh and findeth them sleeping, and saith to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? were you not able to watch one hour? Watch, and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit, indeed, is willing, but the flesh is weak." And, going away again, He prayed, saying the same thing. And, returning, He found them again sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they knew not what to answer Him. And He cometh the third time, and saith to them, "Sleep on the remaining time, and take your rest. It is enough; the hour came; behold, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Arise, let us be going. Behold, he that is betraying Me has come near." And straightway, while He yet spake, comes Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a multitude with swords and clubs, from the high priests and the scribes and the elders. Now he that was betraying Him gave them a signal, saying, "Whomsoever I shall kiss, This is He, take Him, and lead Him away securely." And, having come, going straightway to Him, he says, "Rabbi;" and kissed Him. And they laid hands on Him, and took Him. And one of those standing by, having drawn his sword, smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear. And Jesus answering, said to them, "Did ye come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs, to seize Me? I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye did not take Me; but this is done that the Scriptures may be fulfilled." And, having left Him, they all fled. And a certain young man was following with Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body; and they lay hold on him; but, leaving the linen cloth, he fled naked.

Matthew 26:31
