Again the devil takes him to a very high mountain, and shews him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory, and says to him, All these things will I give thee if, falling down, thou wilt do me homage. Again going away a second time he prayed saying, My Father, if this cannot pass from me unless I drink it, thy will be done.
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee: take away this cup from me; but not what I will, but what thou wilt.
For I am come down from heaven, not that I should do my will, but the will of him that has sent me.
But when all things shall have been brought into subjection to him, then the Son also himself shall be placed in subjection to him who put all things in subjection to him, that God may be all in all.)
