And the tempter approached [and] said to him, "If you are the Son of God, order that these stones become bread." But he answered [and] said, "It is written, 'Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God."
Again the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him, "I will give to you all these things, if you will fall down [and] worship me." Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'"
And going forward a little he fell down on his face, praying and saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as you [will]."
Again for the second time he went away [and] prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will must be done."
And he said, "Abba, Father, all [things] [are] possible for you! Take away this cup from me! Yet not what I will, but what you [will]."
because I have come down from heaven not that I should do my will, but the will of the one who sent me.
But whenever all [things] are subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the one who subjected all [things] to him, in order that God may be all in all.
Think this in yourselves which [was] also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider being equal with God something to be grasped, but emptied himself [by] taking the form of a slave, [by] becoming in the likeness of people.
