But him that is weak in the faith receive ye, yet not for decisions of scruples.

One believes that he may eat all things; but he that is weak eats herbs. Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him that does not eat despise him that eats; for God received him. Who are you that judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. But he shall be made to stand; for the Lord is able to make him stand.read more.
One man, indeed, esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each one be fully convinced in his own mind. He that regards the day regards it to the Lord; and he that eats eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives thanks to God.

But food will not commend us to God; neither, if we eat not, are we lacking; nor, if we eat, do we abound. But take heed, lest this liberty of yours become a stumbling-block to the weak. For, if anyone sees you, who have knowledge, reclining at table in an idol's temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat the idol-sacrifices?read more.
For he that is weak??he brother for whom Christ died??erishes by reason of your knowledge. And thus, sinning against the brethren, and smiting their conscience which is weak, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will in no wise eat flesh forevermore; that I cause not my brother to stumble.

And they came to Capernaum. And, when He was in the house, He asked them, "Concerning what were ye reasoning in the way?" But they were silent; for they disputed with one another in the way, who was the greatest. And, sitting down, He called the twelve, and saith to them, "If any one wishes to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all."read more.
And, taking a little child, He set it in the midst of them; and, holding it in His arms, He said to them,

And there entered a reasoning among them, as to which of them should be greatest. Now Jesus, knowing the reasoning of their heart, taking a child, placed it by Himself,

John said to Him, "Teacher, we saw one casting out demons in Thy name; and we forbade him, because he was not following us." But Jesus said, "Forbid him not; for there is no one who shall exercise power in My name, and be able quickly to speak evil of Me; for he who is not against us is for us.

And John, answering, said, "Master, we saw one casting out demons in Thy name; and we forbade him, because he follows not with us." And Jesus said to him, "Forbid him not: for he who is not against you is for you."

but the other proclaim Christ of contention, not sincerely, thinking to add tribulation to my bonds. What then? save that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed; and in this I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

"I know your works and your toil, and your patience, and that you cannot bear evil men; and you tried those who call themselves apostles, and are not, and found them false;

and that was because of the false brethren secretly introduced, who, indeed, crept in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage;

Now we request you, brethren, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to Him, that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, as that the day of the Lord has set in. Let no one deceive you in any manner; because that day will not come, unless the falling away come first, and the man of lawlessness be revealed??he son of perdition;

If anyone teaches otherwise, and consents not to healthful words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the teaching according to godliness, he has become puffed up, knowing nothing, but morbid about questions and word-battles, out of which come envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, wranglings of men corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, supposing godliness to be a source of gain.

For there will be a time when they will not endure the healthful teaching; but, having itching ears, they will for themselves heap up teachers according to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to the fables.

But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers, who, indeed, will stealthily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction:

Actually there is reported among you fornication, and such fornication as exists not even among the gentiles, that one of you should have his father's wife! And ye have become puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he who did this deed might be taken away from you. For I, verily, being absent in the body, but present in the Spirit, have already, as if present, judged him who so wrought this;read more.
in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus, to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

Flee fornication. Every sin which a man commits is without the body; but he that commits adultery sins against his own body. Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom ye have from God, and that ye are not your own? For ye were bought with a price; glorify God, therefore, in your body.

But I have a few things against you, because you have there those holding the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat idol-sacrifices, and to commit fornication.

Neither become ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it has been written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play."

Little children, guard yourselves from idols.
